In response to your question........the Admin stated why you were banned and how to fix the issue and then you are able to appeal your ban.

You have been banned permanently by Toughsox. The reason for this ban is as follows:
All profile and inventory settings must be set to 'Public' ('Friends only' or 'users only' is not sufficient) After you've changed this, you can appeal this ban here.

Private profiles are forbidden on our site, and you will remain banned for as long as your profile is not fully public.

As the ban message stated, please change your settings and appeal the ban using the system in place on the site to be able to continue using TF2 Outpost.

i did, but it doesn't mean i'm perma banned?

How come phishers always add me if you can't have a private bp on outpost?

Couldn't you just make it so you can only see and add people if you have a tf2op account?

Phishers add people regardless of (1) private profiles/inventories; (2) website user is registered to; (3) account/inventory worth.

They have a database of Steam IDs, they don't need anything else.

Yes, and it is incredibly profitable due to how much value people assign to pixels.

Except it's not just $2.49, they are stealing hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of pixels. Some make a living out of it and yes it's sad because it's no different than stealing in real life.
