tf2op advertising ?
I just got banned on tf2outpost for 1 day and the reason is
No advertising/hijacking other people's trades.
I am just wondering what did I do to get banned. making the same offer on another people's trade is considered advertising?

According to the Rules for Outpost

No trade hijacking. This refers to the practice of a user posting on another user's trade and replying to their offer saying "I'll do this". It's considered rude and you will be punished for doing so.

I'm not sure if this is why you were banned but hopefully this helps.

Also that is the link to the rules in case you have any other questions....hope this helps have a good day!

First of all I know the rules

I didn't reply to anyone saying that "I'll do this"

I just made multiple offers on some people's trade

If you go to someone else's trade and said "ill sell the item this guy is selling for a cheaper price" it is considered trade hijacking and frowned upon by most

Was not saying you were not aware of the rules I was just trying to help according to your statement. According to your statement it is considered trade hijacking. Because you went to someone else trade that they had and listed in there that you would do the same price or lower I'm not sure what exactly you posted!

New mod, should have posted a screenshot along with the reason he provided. Now I can't really say whether you actually tried to hijack other's trade or not because no screenshot was provided by the mod.

Outpost rules states that : "No trade hijacking. This refers to the practice of a user posting on another user's trade and replying to their offer saying 'I'll do this'. It's considered rude and you will be punished for doing so." Basically, if you post on someone else's trade that is not yours and say to that offer "I can negotiate, I have the item" or "I can do this, I have the item" That is hijacking a customer from someone else's trade and this is frowned upon by almost everyone.

At the moment with no screenshots provided by mod, I can't say anything on your ban. If you feel like you don't deserve the ban, please feel free to appeal ^-^

I've looked into the matter and I see what happened. You posted in many trades about your unusual, and almost exclusively in trades that were set up for the purpose of purchasing unusuals. However, you did end up posting your message directly advertising your hat on trades set up to sell an unusual. The context of you wanting to sell to someone with buds is very much worded in a way that seems to be trade hijacking when posted on a trade with a different purpose.

That's where it was reported as advertising your hat on someone else's trade, and got you a ban. I'll lift the ban, as I can see from the number of proper posts you've made that this was not your intention.
