how long (usually) until a trade happens?
Hi, pretty new to Outpost here.

I've created some trades a couple of days ago, and received no offers. How often does one usually wait before cancelling the trade or changing the prices?
(in other words: before one realizes it's just not gonna work out)

I believe my prices are fair, but it's hard to tell with Haunted or Genuine basic KS weps. Is the smarter thing to do just wait a while longer or knock the prize down sooner? Or something else entirely?

Thanks in advance for the advice. :spycon:

Its all about patience. Some items get offers faster than others, simple as that. If you are worried about your pricing being too high then you can check to see what others are selling it for. Easiest way to do this is by clicking on the item and clicking the sellers button that shows up just underneath the name of the item. This brings up a list of all the trades on outpost that are selling that item. You can ccompare your prices with theirs.

Another feature you can use is the matches tab (top of the page) and the buyers button( next to the sellers button) this can sometimes give you a list of other users who list items you're selling in their buying section.

Hope that helped

That helped a lot, thanks very much!

And some items are near to impossible to sell on outpost, e.g. strangifiers and killstreak fabs/kits. There is still no way to search for these in an efficient way so probably no one will ever look at your trade. Weapons with killstreaks applied are hard to sell for the same reason, you cannot search for them, plus the market for basic/spec weapons is very small.

These types of items sell a magnitude better on the integrated trading platform of steam.

The killstreak option is being worked on Cyanide.

I had those items on the Market before, and I've used that regularly for KS weapons with a very nice profit margin. But it's all Steam Wallet funds, and I haven't found a cheap/efficient way to convert that into metal, so I decided to try and trade these particular items to see how it would go.

Search the descripion for the item and put the killstreaker in the actual search item box
