Trade offer mistakes
Recently, I've been receiving trade offers from random people, offering their items for...nothing.

Among the things that I've taken (and gave back) to these ppl are:

- Unusual spirits taunt Fountain of Delight
- Aces High Reggaelator
- 7 buds

So I was wondering, what if I never gave those items back? Will it be considered a scam? As far as I know, whatever a user offered on a trade offer is solely his responsibility (unless it's a glitch on valve's end). Sure, I could be a douche for not giving it back, but am I scamming him? Also, does Outpost ban users who does this?

Had this happen recently too, person left a lowball trade offer and forgot to add my hat. Ended up giving his keys back

There's no difference between grabbing a purse out of a woman's hands or taking it after she left it on the bench by accident while she went to use the restroom. Stealing is stealing no matter how you look at it. You can't really justify it by saying "oh she shouldn't have left it there then".

Unless they genuinely want to give you something for free you should never accept such trade offers from anyone. How would you feel if you made a similar mistake and ended up losing a high tier unusual? Just decline and move on or send a counter offer and ask what would they like in return. Probably the best thing to do is to add them and explain them how trade offers work before they end up getting scammed by a douche.
