New Phishing Method?
First off: I hope this is where this topic goes-if not, feel free to move it all powerful admins

Anyways, to the topic at hand.

I don't know if this is a 'new' form of phishing (maybe it has already been reported but I still feel as if I should make sure).

I got a friend request awhile ago, being an experience trader I instantly knew it was a phishing bot by the generic trade message of "add me on my main" and other stuff, so I reported the guy and didn't even bother removing him (I got lazy after the first couple of times)

Here's the thing: Today (Approximately 2 weeks later) he writes this on my profile:

Hey,sorry for trouble you. I unbox my first unusual, but i noob in tf2,and i need your help.Check please my unusual,it good or bad unusual?and maybe you know price?

Here he also posts a link leading to 'screen4u' . o r g (DO NOT GO TO THIS SITE)
There was more at the end of the link, but for safety I am not adding anything else.

Now the bad grammar, and seemingly generic message were a pretty big tip off that this wasn't legit at all, so I believed it to be a phishing site or possibly a site loaded with viruses.

Anyways, care to all and ALWAYS watch out-I've never been approached by this so care to ALL.

These screen4u methods arent that new, they have been floating around for a while. It usually installs keylogging software (unknown to the user) and steals steam credentials. The most you can do is block the bot and report it on steam.

They link to a page where you have to download a picture, in .scr format. Even though it shows a thumbnail, its not to be trusted. I've fallen for this a while back, by downloading the file. When I realised it wasn't the familer JPEG or PNG file, I did a Google Search and realised it was a virus.

Point to be taken away: When in doubt, google :)

You mean a screenshot that's hosted on prntscr . com and autodownloads when you visit it. Yes, it's a nasty trojan.
