So um ... new to trading ... got a clean H.O.U.W.A.R.
A friend of me casually told me that one of the items I got years ago, back when I was actively playing TF2 (I mean: REALLY active, even way before playtime was logged, where I was enthusiastic enoug to do all the 28 tasks to get this), would be worth quite a lot. So I somewhat googled it and found out that he may be right, especially it is not "painted"/is clean or whatever, but not being all that much into TF2 trading I literally have no clue what to do with it now.

I kinda understand that I'd have to wrap it somehow into a gift to be able to trade it and that I'd trade if for other items that can be sold on the Steam market.

Since I'm not really playing TF2 anymore I'd like to get rid of it, as it would mean some extra cash for the upcoming Holiday Sale.

Would be great if someone could bother to give me a few hints

Giftwrap it, put it on the market / site, get offers on it, take the best one. Your HOUWAR is probably going to be the cleanest on the market (one man history) so dont let it go cheap.

Items have a history? Mhkay ... as I ssaid: Not into trading at all xD

I have already been warned though, that I might get scam attempts by people or that others would try to snatch it cheap.

I guess I had to make my Inventory public, right? So I already did that, nothing to amazing in there though except for that one hat, I stopped playing before all these newer items.

Nice work on getting it and keeping it so long. If you're inquiring on its price range, a normal one goes for 10 buds, around 350 dollars. Since yours is both clean and has a short history, that makes it all the more rare, and likely to be worth more.

I'd go with this. I've had a couple over the years and 10 buds is the norm right now. A clean one like yours should fetch 11 or even 12 if a particularly fussy collecter is interested. Good luck!
