Is there a way to search through completed trades?
I would like to compile evidence for pricing a certain as-of-yet unpriced unusual on backpack.tf. Unfortunately, there is only one copy of the hat in existence, and it isn't currently for sale. Is there some way I can search Outpost to find what it has sold for in the past, or am I stuck having to track down and query previous owners?

Click on the hat you want to price, this will bring up a history of that item, you can then go through the history and see what previous owners were selling it for.

Thanks! Is there any way to see what it actually *sold* for, as opposed to what it was listed as? Some of the previous listings are for stuff like "X buds or interesting unusual offers", which obviously leaves a bit of room open for interpretation.

Unfortunately no, the offer that was accepted might be the very last offer on the trade though.

Thanks again. I kind of doubt my suggestions will be accepted since the evidence is fairly scanty, but I appreciate your assistance regardless.

You could use Google Search, for the time being this is not possible on the site.

Something to add later, perhaps :)

It would also be nice if there was some sort of private messaging system available so that I could query previous owners to ask directly what they sold the hat for, but I suppose that could open too many possibilities for harrassment and spamming.
Nope. Absolutely pointless, the whole bp.tf system is more or less a make-your-own-price machine. If you want real sale stats you need data that cant be spoofed, so far i know only 2.5 sources for that: community market, warehouse sales and to some sort the stock of scrap.tf.
