It really took time to fix it out, the middlemans profile nearly looked 100% same as the guy from steamrep, just the steamrep guy had a sentence in his profile "im not longer a middlesman, people try to scam you by using an account with my name"

Simple way to check if its an impersonator, compare the steamids and steamreps of both profiles. If anything is different, obvously its two different users.

You are right, but its a new criminal energy some wouldnt expect. At the beginning i really believed it a bit. It's not the silly "click my scam link" procedure, this is really matured and i just wanted to post a warning here

Why would you need a middleman for item trade?

Yeah, my friend got scammed out of a 1 of 1 Death at Dusk Spook Specs out of a "certified middleman". And @husky, its so that you can sell on paypal.

I clearly stated item trade (which is not equal to cash trade).

Well he wrote that the middleman could check the hat, i didnt believe this could be possible (that you can see something at a hat when you own it, you dont see when you backpack.tf this item) but it could be possible, especially when you arent a "pro" trader with much knowledge
