best crates
i am thinking of doing a big unboxing of around 50 crates. which crate(s) would give me the most valuable stranges/parts/hats?

I believe there's a helpful list on trade tf on this subject, that would be worth looking into.
I recommend crates under 25 for the chance to get a 1st gen unusual effect.

I agree with Liddo but I would also recommend these:
Salvage: #30 #40 #50
Regular: #42

Anything below #25 tends to have a better tendency to drop "good" unusuals.
