Clarification on the first trade rule
1. Please do not make trades with...

* CD keys, game keys, gift codes, etc.

For the longest time, people have been offering me gift codes, so I believed it would be fine to explicitly say that I am fine with receiving them.

However, a user pointed to this rule. I was under the impression that this was to prevent people from making trades to SELL codes, whereas I stated that I would pay for a code over a tradeable copy.

Did I infringe on the rule? I am aware it is there in part because users trade codes at their own risk, but I feel I can handle such trades.

You may not buy or sell codes. Offering game codes in a comment is also against the rules.
