Err this has been a ongoing issue.. And most if not all outpost users know this already.

I didn't know about this. Have never seen it before. I got one on my trade and unfortunately fell for it.. Was in the middle of mvm and my mind was elsewhere.

I have been phished before by the above method (never trade at midnight on a Sunday night after a big weekend). It isn't fun and while Steam Support restores your items it means I have duped items and some poor sucker down the path has duped items as well. Both of us then have trouble trading later if we want to.

So these days I do not click on any links.

I have also become suspicious of quick sells where there is not a phishing link in the comments. Phishing links have become so common and there are so many phishing attempts on higher level unusuals that I can't help but think the hijacker knows their own.

I am also suspicious of steam profiles where they have +rep and so forth in their comments. It smells of trying to lull the poor schmuck at the other end into a false sense of security.
