Mind if I ask who you are using?
So far I have been busy working on a large amount of text, to be suddenly switched to a TF2OutPost redirect advert.
And I have also been busy relaxing with a Youtube video, to be rudely interrupted by a yet another redirect advert. This broke the video playback, so I had to fiddle around getting back to where I was in the video.
I deal with tons of traders, mostly new traders and I always suggest they use TF2OutPost and Backpack.tf, but until something is done I will no longer be able to recommend TF2OutPost.
I will report the details as soon as it happens again.
I just used a free image sharing site, but file is only 11kB so should not be an issue. (proper encoding and cropping)
This offender forces a switch to the tf2op page and disables most web browser functionality. Using Chrome, I cannot navigate away from it and only clicking on the 'x' or 'okay' button work. the 'x' button has the same function as the 'okay' button, redirecting me away to a new url.
update: looks like the offender is some malware that may have come from an ad-service or even an entirely different website.
update2: some study, poking around and general sifting. I cannot identify any malware being held on my system, so I suspect it is using a Java/Flash vulnerability to become active while web server is serving the code. It has also only ever occurred on the TF2OP website, every time.
Trying to add a trade and now the whole page reloads randomly, just to refresh an ad.
I really hope you guys are looking to fix this soon and maybe consider using a different ad-partner.
I passed this on to Sneeza, he should look into it.
Fun fact: got tab-switched and redirected while typing.
So far the issue has not changed and I will keep leaving the page open and experience what I can to help solve the issue.
