Please keep ads simple (and unobtrusive)
Time and time again, I receive pop-up adverts, redirect adverts and audio adverts.
While I will happily support you guys, by viewing these ads (as I do with all websites), I believe it would be in your best interest to tone it down somewhat.

I am a rather tolerant person, but unless something is done I will be installing an ad-block plugin, for only your website. I really hope that it doesn't come to this, as I know I would not be the only one.

I should think increased CPM, is not worth annoying your visitors and losing reputation.

Many people either pay for premium, or just use adblock.

Yup, I also believe this would be true. Thanks for the support in getting this discussion noticed. :)
We don't have direct control over the ads, all we can do is report the bad ones if people gives us detailed information about them.

Ah. Does your ad service not let you choose which type are served?
Mind if I ask who you are using?

Any news on this?

So far I have been busy working on a large amount of text, to be suddenly switched to a TF2OutPost redirect advert.
And I have also been busy relaxing with a Youtube video, to be rudely interrupted by a yet another redirect advert. This broke the video playback, so I had to fiddle around getting back to where I was in the video.

I deal with tons of traders, mostly new traders and I always suggest they use TF2OutPost and Backpack.tf, but until something is done I will no longer be able to recommend TF2OutPost.
We can't report the bad ads if people do not give us detailed information about them (company, description/action, evidences).

Ah, I am glad to hear you are able to accept reports and do something.
I will report the details as soon as it happens again.

yeah it's true, this ads has gone too far, first it was the High pitched Audio alarms in ads, now Auto redirect ones? I don't know if they are Ad sense or from google but you are really abusing of us for the sake of getting $.005 more for each view of those annoying ads

Alrighty, I nabbed a screenshot of the little bugger: http://i.imgur.com/SG1TDwW.png

I just used a free image sharing site, but file is only 11kB so should not be an issue. (proper encoding and cropping)

This offender forces a switch to the tf2op page and disables most web browser functionality. Using Chrome, I cannot navigate away from it and only clicking on the 'x' or 'okay' button work. the 'x' button has the same function as the 'okay' button, redirecting me away to a new url.

update: looks like the offender is some malware that may have come from an ad-service or even an entirely different website.

update2: some study, poking around and general sifting. I cannot identify any malware being held on my system, so I suspect it is using a Java/Flash vulnerability to become active while web server is serving the code. It has also only ever occurred on the TF2OP website, every time.

Ugh!

Trying to add a trade and now the whole page reloads randomly, just to refresh an ad.

I really hope you guys are looking to fix this soon and maybe consider using a different ad-partner.

I passed this on to Sneeza, he should look into it.

Thanks. I just added more info to that post above. I am happy to talk to Sneeza and help do some debugging if needed.

Added more info to that post (#9).

Fun fact: got tab-switched and redirected while typing.

So far the issue has not changed and I will keep leaving the page open and experience what I can to help solve the issue.

For some time now I have been experiencing ads popping up as if I have clicked on them. In other cases when I am using the in game browser, the ads clickable area is somehow expanded and when trying to close trades, the ads pop up again. The main ad I have been experiencing is a Greek one claiming I have messages in my inbox. When I run into it again, I will capture a screenshot for you guys. Thanks Blue Screen for directing me to this thread.

Ok. it happened twice again and I got a pic of the second time it has happened. I Bumped by trade (the turner all star) which is right next to the add and the add popped up. Not letting me leave the page without clicking ok.
