I just don't understand...
"This trade was closed by ♥HelenAngel♥ at 19:18:19 on November 30th, 2012 with the following reason: Unfortunately, we do not allow the advertisement or payment of items in services. Please request this on another forum and/or through another medium. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. =) "

I had a good thing going, where I made avatars for people, and in return they payed me in IN-GAME items. I wasn't forcing anyone to trade, and I wasn't getting any physical profit off of it, and yet it was removed, I'm not angry, just upset that people can sell keys for real money, and games for real money, but I can't do what I love for in game items, I'd like to speak to someone, if I could...

It's against the rules to offer services like this on the site. Sure you can do what you love, just not here. Try SPUF maybe.

What I don't understand is why people can trade away real money, and risk losing stuff, but I can't do this. I fully understand why it was removed, just not why it's against the rules.

Because something like a tangible good such as a dollar amount has a definite and absolute value, whereas services have levels of quality that can or can not meet the standards of buyers. Allowing services will also allow the chance of drama happening when one person does not live up to the exceptions of the other.

Simple example: An avatar buyer gives some items as a down payment to have an avatar made. Somehow this avatar does not live up to the standards of the buyer, but does to the creator. The buyer claims that they were scammed when the avatar maker did not make a good picture and has stolen their down payment. The Avatar maker claims they have lived up to their end and the other person is scamming them by not paying.

This is all subjective and can be cleared up by not allowing services where something like money is a defined trade such as X amount of currency for Y hat.

Because it it much harder to keep record of avatar services as opposed to Paypal trades, anyway best of luck to you. You did a great job on those avatars too. If you're looking to post an avatar service, I suggest a place where you can get more exposure based on the quality of your work, which is very high. I have seen some good screenshot services on reddit and I think that you could do well there too. I have to admit that I may be contacting you for an avatar once I get a key. Keep up the good work man.

See the problem there is, the trade clearly stated I fully go first, and that's how it went for every single trade. I went first, and if they ran, they ran, so be it, I made an avatar for nothing, and was fine with that. I accepted payment AFTER they got the picture.
