Super bad lag!
Im experiencing a horrible lag on the tf2outpost since the outpost went down on new years eve anyone else have this?

It's not lagging too badly for me, although that said, there still may be some repercussions of the downtime last year. (I've wanted to say that for a while.)

I've also exprienced the lag. It propably must be the background the site has.

That's not it; that would be clientside slowness, and the page doesn't animate the snow until it is fully loaded.

I guess it should be then from the mass amount of people trying to sell the festives and festive keys. God bless these hyped events.

Mm, probably.

When there is a holiday event like this, a lot of people are getting items they're never going to use, a lot more people trade at these times and it shows up everywhere. Steam trade is more congested, trading sites get more attention etc.

Once the winter crates expire and the festive hype dies down (late Jan, early Feb) everything should return to normal. Assuming of course that Valve doesn't release a shedload of items with a new grordbort pack.

like I said on my complain disccusion, go to settings and disable effects. Problem solved

I'm surprised that a small graphical effect could have any noticeable consequence on performance. Then again, I suppose it may on a weaker computer.
