Obviously offering someone DOTA 2 giftable copies is basically openly questioning their intelligence, but what else should someone never do?

I recently had someone bawl me out because I was asking for a reclaimed metal for crate #55, they didn't offer anything they just insulted me and my trade history (nerdy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ imo). Anyway, are there a lot of crazy people on here or am I really being a jerk by asking for backpack and spreadsheet prices?
