Questions about new rules?
With the new set of rules under Trade Rules, there are a few of them that I would like clarification on.

2. "Don't create trades unless you're actually going to trade the items..."

Question: I see many trades of collectors who have their collection up on the left side in order to prove how dedicated they are to collecting their item(s). Is is ok to do that if you are still trying to expand your collection? With craft # and such, its pretty much the only way you can get traffic, by loading your left side with all the craft #321's you own.

3. "No misleading trades — if you're looking to trade 1.33 refined for some hat, please don't put 2 refined up on the left hand side..."

Question: How far is this going to be enforced? While this seems like a helpful rule, I can see it getting alot of criticism if enforced poorly or excessively. Some situations I can see as grey areas:

A craft hat trade like in the example, What if there is 3,4, or 8 refined on the left side? What if they are buying in bulk?

An expensive unusual with only one bud on the left side and the trade notes ask for "Bud offers". Clearly the OP doesn't want just one bud for his hat, he wants bud OFFERS. But there will be the wana-be admin noob that reports him for this.

There are others that I cant think of right now but It would be nice if there was some informal clarification on how far it will be enforced.

4. "No relists. Relisting is creating multiple trades for the same purpose, or listing the same item in multiple trades excessively."

Question: I was temp banned for this very recently. I had trades like the following for each class: http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8484745
Personally, I found it very hard to consider it relisting, each trade was for different unusuals and had a different set of prices. The information I got from the moderator who handled my ban was that all my trades showed up on the front page at the same time so it was "excessive" I guess.

Now I have reopened those trades: http://www.tf2outpost.com/user/15188
This time I tried to make them 4-5 minutes apart from each other to prevent all of them showing up on the front page at the same time; I also removed the class token (but kept all hats from the same class). Each trade has different hats on the right side and the prices I am paying are also slightly different for each trade. Are cases like this considered relisting (Am I in danger of another relisting ban?)

I'm curious about this one too. It's not new, but I've reported people for just the thing Jon is describing and nothing is done about the trades.

I wasn't sure if it was because these were exceptions or because the Mods were friends with the persons breaking the rules.

I am also wondering about this rule as well, does this mean that if I am buying a bunch of different hats, strange/vintage weapons or scrapbanking normal weapons for the same price that I can only have one trade open for each topic (Ex: Only one trade saying "buying any and all '...' for '...') or can I have 3, 5, or 9 of my 10 available trades advertising for one trade topic?

2. We ignore that. Until a facility is put in to allow people to ask specifically for a certain level or craft number, we will allow people to do that.

3. Misleading trades are generally considered trades where someone would think "Hey, this looks like a good deal" and then look at your trade to be disappointed. If you are buying hats for 1.22 and put 1.33 in the images, obviously you are just trying to get people interested in something that the trade isn't.

Obviously, if you are buying keys and you just put a single refined metal in the wishlist, this couldn't be classified as misleading, as no one in their right mind would sell a key for a ref.

We actually do punish players who constantly report non existent things. (It has to be constant though, so when in doubt, feel free to report).

4. That's not relisting. What is relisting is having 10 trades all buying craft hats for 1.22 each, but having different items in the wishlist, even though they appear different, they are all functionally the same.

No you can't... I got temp banned for doing this. I asked for a solution and they said that you must state that you are buying ONLY these SPECIFIC items / hats in your trade and NO others!

Also, I have a question regarding the new rules
I have a trade open here when i am selling different hats for different prices http://www.tf2outpost.com/trade/8477412

Currently I have the trade listed as 1.44 ref (which is the first hat) The price for the other hats is 1.55 and i even sold one for 1.66. My question is... is this ok to have the price of one hat listed or do i have to create different trades for each price?

So theoretically I could make 10 trades advertising that I am buying only the specific items in my wishlist and it will not break the new rule, or would this also be considered against the rule?

Thanks for the information, I think I will wait for an admin to answer this question here first before I make my trades, just to be safe.

But manually bumping out of stock trades is ok?

What do you think? I mean, an actual opinion, not just "well it doesn't say I shouldn't". If someone gets banned for bumping their out-of-stock trade, and then says "well the rules don't say I can't", then I will simply deny their appeal for ignorance.
