Scammed; What do I do?

Well, I've been trading my way up to an unusual for about a year now.. Some guy offered me to pay via paypal. We got a middleman and when I gave him the hat to give to the guy before the other guy paid, he said something in a language that I didn't understand. The other guy replied and they both deleted me off their friends list.. Any suggestions? Forgot to mention that the middleman was an imposter pretending to be a real one.

you need logs, and file a complaint on the tf2outpost steam group thingy and then...well idk about the cash but they will be banned

Also, you must have proof of scam, such as: screenshots, chat logs...

always screenshot, always check profiles and real urls of every person involved to make sure they are not just an alias. without that its hard to report to steamrep, as you have no evidence. you can go on their profile pages and report to steam, and the very least they can see they got one way trades going. but withotu evidence they scammed you paypal, they will probably have to wait for more evidence to come in because for all they know you got paid and are now trying to get something back. thats the problem of trading outside the system. if those people have money they can always buy keys.

I closed the chat in anger after being scammed, the problem was that this guy also had a large amount of middleman reputation

chat is saved now, open the chat again and you will see what is said, but its not the most important thing which is screenshots of the trade window
but in any case something is better than nothing, you can send the chat screenshot to valve, but its not enough for steamrep

*nm i forgot u'd have to add them again... well if the chats have some log buffer now i guess valve can access some chat logs...

They both blocked me after they traded with me, how do I open the chat again?
