My trade was closed because it was "inactive for 1 week".
My trade was closed and the only answer i get is this one in the title. My trade was far from inactive. I am a collector of Odd Leveled Vintage Weapons (olv's). There was approx. 4000 views and many bookmarks in just 1 of my trades. I turned off the auto bump feature because i was getting so many offers and trades from them. Even tho my auto bump was off i was getting 4-7 trades a day from each them and many times a day in all 3 of the trades that was closed. I was answering offers and setting up trades. My 3 trade postings was far from inactive. If i am actively posting and replying to offers and questions in each of my trades is should not matter if i bump it or not. The only reason to bump the trade is to get business. If i was getting alot of business from them there would be know reason to bump them. By closing my trades like that with no warning i have lost alot of keys and metal. I have over 1400 olv's in my BP. Now the people that had relied on my trade post can not find it so they went somewhere else loosing 10-45 keys in trading profits. IMO i should get some form of compensation. My BP is worth 2400 usd. I know it is not your fault but something needs to be done because this is BS. If i caused you to loose this much profit i'm sure i would have to compensate you in some way, well what about my loss. Will anything be done about it since my trades was not inactive but actually very active. Check my trading records. Or the posts in them for timelines and you will see that they were very active. I can see if nothing changed in them but they changed hourly. Sorry for rambling but i'm pissed off. I just lost alot of profit i needed badly.I have taken about 5 days to setup a big trade for collector lvl'd olv's and now it is gone....... Like i said "something has got to be done about this. But i expect nothing to get done like normal turning a blind cheek. What happened to Morals and responsibilities and honor. I thought we was supossed to help thy neighbor not screw them over. I appologize for going on and on about this but to me it is the same as you putting your hands in my pocket and taking money from it without checking to see if i was using it or not. '''IT IS JUST WRONG TO CLOSE A TRADE WITHOUT CHECKING INSIDE TO SEE IF IT IS ACTUALLY INACTIVE REGUARDLESS OF IF IT HAS BEEN BUMPED IN THE LAST WEEK""". That is just pure laziness not actually checking inside. Ok im done for now. But TF2outpost definitely has not heard the last about this. I dont want this to turn into a big ordeal, so i hope something gets done before it becomes a big deal. For what it matters....Thank You.

I understand it is nobody's fault. But the rule states "inactive". The definition of inactive does not mean if itis not bumped, it means there is no activity within it. No changes to the trade description, new posts or replies. If i have been recieving posts for selling, buying and offers daily. I would have to say that there is activity in my trade adds. I was receiving trades faster than i could handle, so i removed the autobump intentionally so i could catch up. So if i get trades coming too fast and become overwhelmed i have to bump my trade making me get even more behind? That is fucking retarded. "I have too much to do so lets make him have more" The rules need to be adjusted or re-worded to be more correct. Again..... If i am recieving trade offers and i am replying on a daily basis then i dont see how they are inactive reguardless of whether they was bumped or not. The courts of law are held accountable for mistakes in thier laws and ordinances (rules) so should tf2op.We are held responsible if we mess up and we get banned. But tf2op messes up with me and nothing? That is a one sided selfish action by this site and will not be tollerated. BTW i am not a 12 year old child or some stupid fucking kid. I am 49 years old and dont like to have someone else (tf2op) cost me that much money and not take responsibility for there actions or mistakes in the wording of this rule.

The trades are closed automatically, a mod doesn't manually close them. If posting on the trade prevented them from closing, the system would be inefficient, as abandoned trades would be left open.

This happened to me too when I turned off autobumping because I couldn't trade. I asked the admins if they can reopen closed trades and they said it's not possible. That's life.

Just reopen your trades and make sure you bump them at least once a week and you should be fine. You could set up a reminder to bump them ever friday or something. If your trades were indeed that popular I guarantee your clients will come back.

Thank you. Atleast someone understands . I know a mod didnt close them and that a bot did. I am just complaining trying to get someone who can do something about it to realize there is a flaw in the system that effects real live people. There should be something in the programing to where a bp that has not been bumped for 1 week to be able to see if it is actually inactive or active and just has not been bumped. If it is actually inactive then close it. I feel like i had a good business /system working and had great long term advertising going on great then tf2op shut down my advertising. I have great customers and they will find me. I am just upset about the profiti am out not by my fault. The rules say inactive and mine trades clearly was active just not bumped.
