The High Rollers and The Low Ballers of TF2Outpost
Now, Imagine or Look Back to searches of Hats, Keys, and Miscs, and you see someone selling a hat for twice its price, That's a High Roller. Or Maybe you see a fine trader buying a hat for half of its price, That's a Low Baller.

I've noticed searching through the trades that the amount of people who want High Prices for their Items and want to pay Low Prices for others is getting out-of-control, but we really can't help it, It's what the Mannconomy is all about.

My point is here, lets all be honest, we all want low prices and high payment for items. And that's something I guess were gonna have to deal with on The Website, TF2, and Steam in general.

Now I've started to notice that this isnt too bad, except for scamming, Its the TF2 Market and Keys are like gas, It will rarely go down. This is where sellers come in and sell there Goods, Keys, Hats, and Items at trading website prices! Aswell for the buyers, They come in, buy the Items, and go on with their day.

Lets just conclude, The market does change, but high prices mean high sellers, and low prices means low buyers.

The worst are the ones that do it on a single trade. "buying keys for 3.22, selling for 3.77!" God, at least make separate trades...

That's the market for ya, Gotta make profit some how, and as long as their trades are not extremely horrible like trying to get a 3 key+ item for under a ref or what not, I do not mind them personally.

It's economy at its most basic. People buy things for a certain price, they mark up their selling price and they sell it for said price. That's how the world goes around. Your local grociery store buys their goods from the manufacturer for less than what they sell it to you, does that mean you can run into K-Mart shouting "Profittering Whore!"? (sorry sam). Whats the purpose of trading items when you sell them for the exact price you bought them for? If you see someone who is going after blatant profit, you don't have to sell to them or buy from them. There are thousands of traders that would happily sell their wares to you for an agreed price that is fair.

I hate these kinds of debates really, TL:DR Ignore people who highball or lowball #thread.

Now I've heard of making profit, but must I tell you, a Merc's Muffler for 4.5 Keys, Its just Inhumane!

It's funny you use that example. When the Kmart I worked at closed down, we dropped everything's price by 90%, and people still were accusing us of bumping up the price before that to make a profit.

I find unusual traders that aim for quick sells to be dishonest and annoying. "I'm buying for 60% reduction of the price, anything above that will be reported!". Not only does that increase the amount of work the mods have to do (sort through valid and invalid reports), they take of advantage of desperate traders who are having a hard time selling something. Rather immoral, no?
