Excesssive measures by moderator?
This is what happened: I posted 3 times "^already has one" on somebody's trade under someone who offered. Letting him know the buyers already bought one is apparently not allowed. In the hypothesis that they wanted a second, which seemed very doubtful in this case, the person that offered could have just posted 'I want a second one'. Anyway, I can understand this came over as spam though I had no intention in doing so. And I apologise for that.
What I can't understand is that I immediately got banned for this. The moderator (Champelliot) could have just hidden those 3 posts for spam and I would be more careful in the future not to posts similar comments. Instead I got banned for 12 hours(without receiving any previous warnings for spam if I recall).
What I regret the most is that all my offers in outpost got hidden and can't retrieve anymore of my offers. It took me alot of time to find some hats and I can't find them anymore now. Maybe in the future try to be less excessive? I'm sure if you would have just hided my 3 posts I would also be more careful. Any chance my offers will be revealed again so I can retrieve my hats?

This. ^

Not sure if it was intended, a bug or just human error but I'm in the same boat.

We have a function that hides all posts by the user, and my best guess is that it was used when you were banned.
This is obviously how it is not supposed to be used, and only the comments you "Spammed" should be manually hidden.

I will bring this up with champelliot, Obviously there must be an error somewhere.

In this instance it was my bad. You were most definitely spamming, although I shouldn't have used the mass hide. I'd been dealing with quite a few spam raids (people posting the same spam on many trades), so that probably led to the full hide.

The ban was definitely deserved, you were reported by the OP himself, so he clearly didn't want you filling his trade with "already has one" (for most traders, owning an item doesn't matter if another could be sold for profit.), although once again, I didn't mean to use the full hide.

In my opinion it would have been more appropiate if you would have just hided my 3 posts. I don't think any of my posts, if I recall good, ever got hidden for spam. So it was kinda weird I got my first ban for spam while I wasn't trying to. Just hiding my post would have been sufficient for me to know it's considered spam and I wouldn't be posting such comments in the future anymore. You would have reached the same goal with the 'hide' function and it goes less far then banning someone(especially since this is my first time).
Altough it sucks very much that all my offers and research work are gone I understand it was a mistake and I forgive you.
Is there any option to undo the mass hide?

Nope, hidden comments stay hidden I'm afraid.

Also, a 12 hour ban is our version of a warning, we don't generally do private messages sent to the offending party.

Next time just warn me by hiding those 3 posts, you would have reached the same effect.

Its because private messages are often ignored and the person continues to keep breaking the same rules, we've seen it in ban appeals as well where people do not read the ban reason.
No, seriously? A notification like "You are breaking the rules by doing x, doing x again may result in a ban" would prevent most users from doing x, instead of making them hate autpost.
Your admins don't even want to try to imagine how would they feel if they suddenly got banned for 12 hours for something that shouldn't be punishable at all.

Just because bazaar's server appears to be down at the moment.

I've said this time and time again, if you break the rules, you are banned, we don't have the time to give warnings and keep track of warnings. Read the rules and follow them, it's not that hard, and if you can't do it I'll be happy to ban you and anyone else who breaks them.
