Are you allowed to make discussions that are trade offers?
The reason I ask this is because when I go to the TF2 Trading Outpost site, When I try to search for any specific items I get the following message :

Oh hey!

You know what to do.

When searching, you have to input some part of the name of whatever item you'd like to seach into the little box at the top of that bigger section that says "oh hey" and then press enter.

This is so the site doesn't have to load the images of all the different items in TF2 at one time.

I did, I still get the message. There's a little loading symbol for a split second and that message pops up, being a dota 2 item or tf2 item.

That shouldn't happen. When the loading symbol leaves, there should be many pictures of items there and not that little phrase.

You gotta be kidding.

You have to SIGN IN THROUGH STEAM, which is already a pain,

JUST TO SEARCH FOR ITEMS.

Alright genuises, Who came up with this idea that just DESTROYED a quick and easy way to find items you want?

Oh, so this is why sometimes people didn't reply to trades...
Also, why is signing in through Steam a bother? Even with my 256kb/s connection I can log in and everything within a minute.

Actually it's a fantastic idea. Probably one of the best things that's ever been done to the site. The majority of people who accidentally trade with scammers do so because they scammer added them directly. By preventing scammers from searching for potential victims to unload their stolen items onto, we're able to massively cut down on the number of people at risk of trading with scammers.

This has been done to prevent scammers from using the website without logging in. It's not an inconvenience to sign in first, and 90% of people never sign out anyway.
