is this suspicous
i have ads on op selling things for money. this guy added me, offered a reasonable cash offer of $100, no hassle. i have a good amount of profile rep and sop rep, he had no cash rep. he saw my rep but didnt believe them, wouldnt go 1st, insisting a collateral - basically me giving him some small items 1st. wouldnt use a sr middleman either. Note; claimed to have been scammed before and dont trust people - a well known phrase used by many tagged scammers

was that suspicious? i have had that twice today, similar story. should i report them here or steamrep

That is a bit suspicious, seeing as he wouldn't use an SR middleman. I'm thinking he would've stolen the collateral.

I don't know though if this was an attempted scam because there isn't strong enough evidence to support that.

in the end it doesnt matter, if using paypal he/she can just cancel the payment and u cant do anything about it anyways
