Phishing is off the charts
Literally every trade with unusuals on it I've seen a minimum of 3 phishing attempts and new traders and falling from it. it's becoming a real problem to people and honestly a real annoyance but is there anyway we could see this stopping?

One word: Whitelisting. It slowed down phishing for a while, but it was removed because people complained. In my opinion, the safety of a person's account is much more important than someone complaining about having to copy and paste a link.

I also think another solution to end phishing would be to ban accounts with 0 games and 0 items in their inventories. Phishing accounts are created just for the purpose of posting links so banning accounts with 0 items/games would definitely slow them down (also there is no reason someone with 0 games/items should even be using OP). If I'm correct, the site known as "Steam trades" has this system.

Even if these 2 ideas were implemented, you also have to keep in mind that a lot of phishing links that are posted are from hijacked accounts (which could bypass my 2nd option) and the fact that people can put spaces in their links that can bypass the whitelist system (Ex: w w w.steamcornmuiyt. com) so there really is no way to truly stop phishing.

u need to rethink this because u sound a bit stupid..
your solution is retarded to beyond retardness or whatever would beyond that..
first off
0 games = no community access you need atleast 1 game or purchase..
0 items in their inventory ??? add 1 or 2 crates problem solved

so there goes your really cool idea ;)

when a single account can spam 100+ phishing links all over TF2OP, that's obviously a problem. but the fact that nothing has been done about it so far, that's just mind-blowing. and there's always gonna be someone who clicks them.

what can be done about it, is to use common sense [Valve Corporation[US]] big green box at the address bar learn to look for it before u log in anywhere..
(if u too stupid to not understand that u probably deserved to lose the steam account, thats just my opinion.)
furthermore most phishers are account hijacker what that means is they hijack steam accounts then use them as spreading whatever they want to spread.
in this case they could use the accounts to spread phishing links..

but again common sense use it.. "login" = "GREEN [Valve Corporation[US]] at the address bar.. if its not there dont log in period ;)

no i dont hate and im not mad, im stating the facts people will get phished / hijacked no matter what tf2OP does..
why ?
because they are stupid, period .. they would click the link if it was posted on reddit facebook steam comment section doesnt matter where its posted they would click it because they are stupid.. so u might stop it on "tf2op" but that doesnt help if the person goes and click on it somewhere else, right ?

i mean u cant tell me people only get phished on tf2OP and no where else..

so what TF2OP should do is maybe make an info box somewhere " links in generel can be phishing click with precaution" but we know people wont read that anyway why? because they are stupid so they click it anyway and log in..

so hence my point if u too stupid to click links and not check if its official u too stupid own an account.

i never been phished or hijacked, why ? because im not stupid.

Item Number Requirements and Time in TF2/Dota 2 Requirements have been suggested, but Item Number would fallout due to a lot of phishers being alts of wealthy accounts/accounts or players gone rogue or hijacked accounts themselves. The average person could easily get 20+ items in a week from getting weps from playing as well.

Time requirements also would fall out due to again, a lot of phishers are the hijacked account or longtime players gone rogue, meaning, new bots on steam just to phish could be kicked out the window but there'd still be a lot of phish in the sea...of TF2Outpost. (Hehehe puns.)
