am i misunderstanding, or is it apathy? (abuse and spam rules question)
I've made a few trades with gusty buyouts and have remained polite to those that make actual offers, but i've been losing my temper with posts like

"So hopeless..."
and a repost after telling him to blow it out his ass
"So angry, so hopelsee."

"1 at max its worth 0.5"

Here's a few that were all on one trade where i wanted a dragonclaw hook in exchange for a tagged pudge hair.

Ryan (Aug 5th, 2013 8:04am)
"What are you even trying to prove...?"

[JDL] Avenger (Aug 6th, 2013 12:47am)
"such an idiot u get to meet like these kinds once in ur life"

Be[A]styzz (Aug 9th, 2013 3:46pm)
"Idiots these days..."

C.L.Хороший. (Aug 10th, 2013 12:38pm)
"Stupid"

I could go on, but i feel like this is enough to make a small point that I feel needs answering

I'm fully aware that the prices differ quite a bit, but every single one of these posts were reported for abusive or spammy behavior. not a single one was hidden via moderator.
My only concession is that i've permanently blocked every single offending user, namely those that were being huge ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Why aren't posts like the one's I've mentioned hidden by a mod? They fall under the range of being abusive, annoying, or completely unnecessary.

Any input would be great because my only solution so far involves a conspiracy where mods feel like it's ok for users to berate other users with abnormal or high buyouts.

Protip: If your trade is reasonable, you won't have to deal with such people. When your prices are way off you're bound to receive negative comments.

You may report people who you feel are harrassing you but you could also easily deal with it yourself by changing your prices?

that's just the thing, I shouldn't have to be subject to people telling me that I'm an idiot or that i'm a loser simply because I'm not using their price sheet. basic trading ethics cites that you are to "simply acknowledge that a person will never REALISTICALLY get the trade and to move on."

i disagree with norby why should he change his prices if thats what he wants to sell for, who are u to say because, sure the majority sells it for that, he has too ?

if people doesnt like what he wants to sell for, they should ignore it and move on, perhaps make a counter offer instead of the troll uselss points like he mentions :)

If you acknowledge the fact that you will never realistically get the trade then you must agree on the following:

1. You are wasting your time and everyone else's who is looking for a reasonable deal.
2. You will not get this trade done anytime soon (unless prices/demand change over time but that will take a while and it's not guaranteed anyway)
3. Everyone dislikes extreme lowballers.
4. In case you actually find someone to trade with, you'll be labeled as a shark.

Basic trading etiquette doesn't apply to potential buyers only.

being a shark isnt a crime, if everyone did equal trades there would be no point in trading as u would do zero to non profit.. trading is all about profit..

but who cares what he trades for, what he buys or sell for point is that those comment has nothing to do in his thread.. if a buyer does not like a deal he simply moves on he doesnt trash the seller..

and norby
"If you acknowledge the fact that you will never realistically get the trade then you must agree on the following:"

he didnt say taht about himself he said that bout the buyer, seems like ancient chinese believes he can so who are u too say he cant get it ?

and even so if the trade is absurd like 1 bud for 100 keys why would u care ?? its not ur trade thread so ignore it and move on.. no need to say stuff like "dude ur mentally ill" yeah maybe he is but its his choice, there are no rules saying he cant ask 100 keys for a bud.

furthermore norby u should read the rules:

Main Rules
No spamming — this includes both trade notes and offers. Spam is considered:
Posting the same thing multiple times on the same trade.
Posting links to unrelated websites in offers (backpacks and steam profiles are acceptable).
Derogatory statements made regarding the value of the trade or listed prices.

Derogatory statements made regarding the value of the trade or listed prices.

this is the point of his thread :)

There's a difference between a reasonable offer (which doesn't have to be equal) and extreme lowballing.
