No way to set Steam Inventory to 'Public'.
"Sorry, but your backpack couldn't be loaded at this time — This player's profile or inventory is set to private ('friends only' is not sufficient, it has to be 'public')." is the message.

Funny thing is, there is no option to change it to public in the settings. Here's a link of the settings I see: http://img607.imageshack.us/img607/6510/q2cx.jpg . Am I in the wrong place perhaps?

Please help.

I read the forums and it seems that I'm not the only one with this problem, and as some mentioned Steam settings have no influence on TF2OP settings. And this is true because my Steam inventory privacy settings are set to 'Public'. They were by default.

The issue remains.

Steam settings have everything to do with TF2OP. The site needs permission to read your inventory and if you don't allow it then it won't work. Post a screen of your settings.

You do realize that you have to do it from profile settings?

Huh, you were right, gentlemen. Steam settings do indeed cohere with TF2OP. Even though all the privacy settings have been set to 'Public' I kept the box at the bottom "Keep your Steam Gift inventory private, regardless of your inventory setting above." checked. And that was the problem.

hmm i have unchecked the last box that SnakeWine mentioned but it still wouldn't work for me i put all settings to public already
