Administator/Owners needed for a forum community!
Hello Team Fortress 2 players,

I got this idea of starting a Team Fortress 2 forum community, I am thinking of starting it of on a zetaboard's forums. I am looking for maybe one or two people who would like to help me make it and admin it?

Somethings that would be on it:

- Trading section
- TF2 Outpost
- Group games
- Scrims
- Forum sessions
- Clan section
etc, etc

If you are interested leave a reply or add me and we can talk about it. I need someone who would actually be motivated to start something like this and who is willing to put time into it.
Preferabbly Australian/ New Zealand due to timezones but anyone is welcome to talk to me about it!

Thanks!

From a curiosity point of view, do you have any experience with building a community or something similar? Not to be pessimistic, but that list of what you want in there is quite ambitious, and maybe a little too much so if trying to start fresh.

Most communities thrive because they are the best at what they do. Trying to do to much might make what you intend to focus on not come through, but if you can find what you believe is lacking in the already vast TF2 market, you could get a huge hit.

Yea, I suppose I do. I totally understand where you are coming from though. It's not easy starting a new community but when it does start to kick off it is a really enjoyable thing to be a part of.

I currently am an active member on several forums and have also moderated a Xenforo forum. I've built about three Zetaboard forums for a role play and just two general ones. How ever help is always appreciated and it's always easier to start it with someone else who is also interested and motivated.
If you need some help I may be to give you a hand to an extent as I am not to savvy with building communities and such.

If you get it going good I will gladly help out a bit with administrating if you would like.
Note: I am in GMT -4:00 (Location Ohio)

To what extent? Can you manage communities as in moderating replies and topics and such or are you better with the technical side?

Do you have any experience with zetaboard forum tools?

I am not much of a tech savy guy, but moderating replies and topics would be my thing.
I have no experience with zetaboard forums tools, sorry.

I'm still looking for an Admin who can help me actually set up the board and maintain it.
1) it seems you are asking people to do all the work for you.. usually the founder is the one who creates/sets things up and build it from scratch, not "hired" people. You are also expecting people to work for free on a project that does not exist yet and that you have no idea whether it will succeed or not.

2) This is not a place to recruit people or advertise communities (existing or not).

3) What "TF2 Outpost" means? Do you mean becoming an affiliate?

1. I have nearly completed the whole forum without any help from anyone. The position is just an administration position. Someone who assists me with keeping the forum up to date. Of course I won't know if it will succeed, you never know that. And no, I am not paying people. I am looking for someone interested with a bit of spare time. It's not a 24/7 job.

2. If so my apologies, How ever the thread is still open and I am not really harming anyone.

3. No, Just a forum section. I doubt a free forum that hasn't even opened will "affiliate" with a website that get's used by thousands of members a day.

Not trying to be rude, But your stating quite a bit without actually knowing what I am trying to do or who I am.

Then you are contradicting yourself. You just said:

It is still open because I'm trying to understand what TF2 Outpost has to do with it.

Then what TF2 Outpost has to do with it? You said it would be "on it". I'm not sure what this statement means.

I'm trying to understand what you are trying to do. I've run many communities, including forum-based (PHPBB, Drupal, XOOPS, IPB) for the past ~ 10 years, I believe I can speak a little about this.

Setting up as in posting Section rules, finishing touches and than just maintaining the forum as people join. I don't see why you are argueing about this? Your making it seem like something negative.

TF2Outpost was just an idea of having it as a sub forum under the trading section where you can post your trades etc. Haven't added it yet, It was just an idea. I have only just started making this today and am still working on it.

I am trying to set up a TF2 forum community who can play with each other, advertise their clans, trade their items etc.

I don't really understand why you are going into such an arguement as if I am a bad guy. You come over sort of negatively trying to test me. I am sure you are not though and am willing to answer any more questions you may have. (:

Me and HappySticks have made quite a bit of progress on the forum.

Maybe that also explains more to what it's about.
