I don't think any of them serve much of a purpose at all, I just think they are all just nifty tools you can use to make your trade notes pretty.

Maybe glow would, but center and size I could see a use for. Also I kind of get your point about the way people could make it all spoiler, but you could make a rule about that, pretty simple.

No need for spoilers IMO. The default note tool serves that well enough.

I feel like you guys are worried about people abusing way too much, I mean if people want to abuse stuff they will find a way to do it no matter what the tools are. If they do want to abuse, great, now we have another reason to ban idiots, which always helps the site. I feel like the more BBCode tools we have the easier it is to make a trade pretty and the nicer we can make it for people to read.

Also, I feel like the people who complain about "noisy" websites with glow and color and what-not, are just being grumpy :P I could be wrong though, but I know I don't see any reason for calling that stuff annoying, it's never bothered me.

It's not so much being afraid of abuse, but knowing that people will be stupid with it. It's not even an "if", nor a "when", just "how many". But the outpost doesn't ban for stupidity.

Also, NO, no it's not "great, now we have another reason to ban idiots", admin/mod time isn't infinite. The less they have to do the better. They all have better things to do than deal with juvenile BS. When people went wild with the img and the url tags, a link police wasn't put in place. They just nerfed the tags' power to reduce their harmfullness.

I'm not really opposed to a size tag as long as the max size isn't too big (200% of normal ?). However, I see little point to center and right align as long as we don't have tables; and BBcode tables (and the parsing and rendering headaches they bring) sound like a gigantic waste of sneeza's time for little benefit.

Also, you still haven't provided a single reason for [ spoiler ], it certainly couldn't be prettiness.
As for glow, it's more flashy than pretty, and bold+color do the job just about as well (and are more readable)
