The only guess I could offer is that, if you have recently changed your backpack status from private to public, it may take some time to update. Other than that I'm clueless.

I've had a look around on TF2B forums, and I can't see anything relating to this. I've personally never encountered anything like this. Have you tried swapping to private and back again? It seems like an asinine suggestion but it might work.

This player's inventory is set to private, and therefore cannot be fetched.
If you're trying to access a Steam Inventory, then there's a separate setting for your gifts which needs to be unchecked.

It seems it was just a give it time affair, it seems to be working now from my end.

Your profile has to be public. Setting it to "Users only" won't make it visible from the outside.
