Any way to disable the fav icon changing?

I find it a tad annoying that if I visit the site via bookmarks, the fav icon updates to show I have a message, I check the message, and then I have to visit the site again, via bookmarks, to clear the fav icon message.

A few weeks ago the fav icon was changed to show how many notifications you have. But, it does not update until you access the site again via the fav icon

Agreed, quite annoying. You really don't need to change the favicon to reflect that you have new messages. The tab title should be changed instead '(3) TF2 Outpost / Trade' etc.

I don't think there's anything you can do about it. Let's just hope it will be reverted.

I was just testing it out to see if it was any good. It's kind of pointless and a little irritating so I'll remove it.
