SCAMMER! PLS HELP!
I've just been scammed. It was on 10/5/12 at approximatly around 10:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. Pacific time. The person that scammed me was "MasterGonzo" (no quotes). He gave me a Flipped Trilby and I gave him 3 keys. He said he was making a scamming vid for Youtube. He said we would trade back when the vid was done. After he "scammed" me, he traded me again to give my items back. While we were trading, he just blocked me and then deleted me as a friend! Please help! I need to know what to do!

-Note: the reason I'm posting this here is because he also uses TF2 OUTPOST!

Assuming you have evidence (screenshots, trade history etc.) file a report on Steamrep. The admins there will deal with it, however, do not report him to SR if you have already reported to TF2OP, since TF2OP has the power to tag people.

Whatever you do, if you file a report, just make sure to include circumstantial evidence, as well as all necessary items. Remember that he can change his name, you should get his Profile ID32 off steamrep to prevent him getting away.

Um... How do you report to either of those?

That's such a ridiculous method of scamming someone. What did he take?

3 keys
How did this even happen? I mean, what did he said, "hey I want to upload a video to youtube scamming someone, give me your keys!" and you thought "seems legit" or what
not be rude but why didnt his behavior gave you some red lights?

It did give me some "red lights" but he was someone I could trust because he was in my friend's list for a while and I thought I could trust him. I guess now I know the truth. D:

Never trust anyone you don't actually know in person, especially when trading on steam - theres a life lesson here.
