Thanks, lost all my Paypal rep. How am I supposed to use SourceOP?
SourceOP clearly states in its rules that rep from trades originating outside of their site is not allowed, and even lists TF2Outpost as a site not allowed for rep. Even the people here say to get SOP rep, but I don't use their site just this one.

http://forums.sourceop.com/threads/116057-READ-FIRST-REPUTATION-APPROVAL!

"Rep left here should be limited to transactions that took place on SOP and not from other site such as TF2Outpost."

And don't tell me this rule isn't enforced. For one I've talked to people who have had friends almost get banned because they had a few rep from outside sites. And for another, if they don't enforce this rule or care about it, why is it still there?

When selling for paypal/buying for paypal
-post it on sop and outpost
-if someone from outpost is interested, demand they post on the soup thread

There. The trade is now a sop trade

Then why use this site for Paypal trades? Because I like the search function and don't like the forum approach of SOP.
SOP changed the forum software, so it no longer looks like a website from 2003.

No reason not to use it now, except for stupidity, insomnia, yeast infection, or laziness.

TF2Outpost has everything I or anyone else could want; from simple trades up to unusuals. SOP has nothing special except for their rep threads. If you wanted to get into unusual trading using Paypal on a regular basis, then yea you should probably use SOP. However all I do is buy keys and occasionally sell some stuff via Paypal. For this the comments from sellers in my TF2Outpost rep was enough for nearly all sellers, even some who posted "SOP rep only". Now I have nothing except some Paypal comments on my Steam profile.

When SOP starts allowing rep for cash trades outside their site, I will have no problem using them. Until then, telling people to use them when they don't accept outside rep is absurd. You're basically saying use their site instead of TF2Outpost for cash trades, which some might prefer but I don't.

Thinking about it, I likely have no choice but to switch most of my cash trades to SOP. Outpost could be just as good as them, even better. But they'd rather not let you leave negative comments, and then not let you leave any comments at all. Heart system is 100% useless because rep only matters in trades that require trust. So if I'm buying a bud for 27 keys no one gives a crap what my rep is (or how many dumb hearts I have) as long as I put up the 27 keys.

Ok made my SOP thread. Nice job Outpost driving traffic to another site.

That's good though isn't it? Outpost servers are already overworked in terms of server strain, and it's hardly a commercial business. Distribution of traffic could only be a good thing in this context.

If you post the trade on TF2OP and SOP, then there really is no question of weather it was an SOP thread or not. Just don't ask the person which place they found you, assume they found you on SOP and ask them to leave rep there.

SOP rep is a much more legitimate form of rep and is restricted to cash transactions only, not "He's a nice trader but i'm not going to tell you what we traded" rep.

I never accepted Outpost rep for money trades anyway.
