Question: Are quicksells dumb?
Yes or no question.

I say, yes.

Yes, and I'd wager many people wouldn't mind the practice of "ONLY BUYING QUICKSELLS" being banned on the site.

I say no. But a line needs to be drawn. There is a difference between knocking off 10-15% of your hats value so you can quickly get back in the market, and people asking you to (and this happens FAAR too much) knock 75% + off.

Would you sell someone a Bill's hat for 2 keys? Or a pair of buds for 7? It's the same logic.

I think it is good for people that wants to sell their things fast.
But I am pretty tired of everyone that writes "buying quicksells only!".
Because if someone wants to quicksell then they put up a trade.
I saw one that was quickellling an unusual and I bm that just to see.....In 5 minutes was it 8people that offerd on that trade.

But afterall this is just what I think

I say no. Even if they ask for 50% off, sometimes you barely find someone offering that much in a week (in case of unusuals) so you're kind of guaranteed to get at least half the price of your item's value even though you know you're at a loss.

They are obviously doing it for profit, with how much success? That's their business, as long as they don't shark people I see nothing wrong with it. You do not have to accept their deal if you don't like it.
They are very stupid, yes.

But they shouldn't outlaw it.

What they SHOULD outlaw is people who have a trade, buying an items for say, 5 refined, while having another trade open selling the same item for more.

It is fucking stupid, and rude. That isn't how flipping works. Nobody will trade with people if they see you are going to go right ahead and sell what you bought for more.

no quickbuyers pwn
I would say no to this one. This because some traders just need some keys or buds fast in order to get something they want more. I do it too, but with all items I sell, instead of unusuals.
I do agree that items should not be priced off more than 25%.

quick sells are a good way of getting cheap items, i have nothing against it

But they don't exist. No one will remove 75% of an items value. That's like buying keys for 2 rec each. Never going to happen.

While quicksells on unusual market are somewhat understandable due to prices fluctuating and what not, but the fact that 90% of trades [buds] -> [unusual offers] are QUICKSELLS ONLY is kinda annoying.

I simply can't stand quicksells on regular firm currency items and I've found so far Buying Quicksell Bill's hats, Backpack Expanders and even Keys, that's just stupid.

Seconded, people expecting 50-60% off of hats know that they won't get that price, there are no actual buyers out there anymore

the people who only buy quicksales are really annoying. They are the idiots who are driving the prices down. By constantly selling "cancer" unusuals for 15-16keys, the actual price will fall due to the fact that they are being purchased many times for below their actual value. I've seen people say " i'm not asking for quicksales but I do want 40-65% off your hats"

IF someone needs buds/keys/promos quickly, theycan open a trade themselves and say "QUICKSELLING! My Burning flames TC for 60buds!" on their own. It's ridiculous that all people want is hats to sell sell sell.
Yea I saw that ones that put out a quick sell unusual. I saw it just when he had the trade but since I don't have any expensive items couldn't I offer so I just bookmarked to see how it went..... After 5 minutes was it 9 People that had comment with their offers and after a day like 28 or so. So yea it's enough if just the people that wants to quicksell makes trades.

It's not quicksell if you still have the item in your inventory after a couple of hours.

Yes, if the person is always asking for quick-selling prices when buying unusual hats.I'd rather pay full retail price for a hat that i'd wear for a very long time, then to buy a hat just to make some good profit.Although making profit is very satisfying. To me it's more filling to buy something with pride & joy, even though it might cost me a bit.

Quicksells are definelty stupid. Mainly because only potential buyers tend to use it when they basically want rip off sellers by 50-70% of their unusual's real worth then they immediatly put the same item up for twice as much price.

It is very rare to see a real quicksell, when someone actually wants to sell their unusal, not buy, but these hats are usually so crappy, that noone wants to buy them.

You can however sometimes see real good quicksells, or kinda quicksells. I have seen a Scorching Berliners for 4 buds and a Purple Energy Merryweather (lvl 69) for 3 buds.

In times like these, I hate that I'm not a "high tier" unusual trader.
