Well, this really depends. Valve has previously said that they will not remove duped items from the game, so therefore being duped has no real bearing on value. If the items are from a glitch a while ago, there should be no issue, nearly every SF Flamer I see is a gifted dupe. However, recent glitches, if one should appear, should be avoided, as you may end up being implicated in the abuse of the glitch by Valve.

In short, if they were made a while ago, I see no reason why not. If they are quite recent, you may wish to avoid them. That's just my take on it though.

Yes, at a reasonable discount

No reason to discount, dupe has no effect on value, unless it's gifted text. People only say that to lowball.

Listen to Champelliot. This dupe thing is retarded when more than 70% of unusuals are duped. At least no one cares for duped buds unlike MSH / Unusuals where everyone gets their panties in a knot.

Although the stats for MSH Level 1 is mad.

The only time this should matter is when some item comes in very limited quantities (i.e. holiday effect unusuals with only 1-2 copies) or craft numbers (you can't really be proud of having a #1 craft item when somebody else has it too). Other than that people will only use this as an excuse to try and lowball you.

It generally does affect it slightly, say a hat was held by a known item-duplicator; If that item were worth 4 buds it would be discounted to 3.7-3.8

Definetely a reason do discount considering the fact that the item was obtained in illegitimate ways and would hardly feel as genuine as the original. IF the duped item was selling for as much as the original, would you not want to just buy the original? Its a pretty obvious question. Therefore it should require a discount as an incentive.
