Why do keys increase over time?
I mean I remember buying keys for 2.33 back then and now people are selling them in a range from 2.66-3 ref, why is that so? It's not like keys are getting any rarer than before.. I mean, if this keeps going won't it go to like 3.55 ref for a key?! Won't you think that is crazy?

Simple supply and demand. Even if they were even more common than they ever have been, they are seen as the most common and therefore sought after currency item for general trading. More people wanting them along with the general decline of value for other hats and misc. items over time have given them more trading value.
