Outpost for Chrome
Recently the Outpost extension for Chrome required new permissions. Why are these new permissions required? I would like to fully understand what I am getting in to before I re-enable the extension.

The permissions look exactly the same, it may have something to do with the newly pushed update to it.

We had to add permission to Steam's new CDN on akamihd.net.

We need this permission to be able to show user's avatars in notifications, otherwise the extenion would just error out when trying to download the avatar.

Everything else remained the same.

Thanks for the response. That makes sense. The way Google words these things always makes me paranoid. "Read and CHANGE data" is what gets me.
