Regardless, I think it is a great idea and if it can be implemented, it should be!
Why isthis difficult comparing to paint/effect ?
This should be one of the issues. Considering the current layout, the only way I see it would be possible to search multiple strange parts would be turning the dropdown into a multi-select control. But to me that would be a lot of work for a feature that very few would use. The "Has strange parts?" mentioned by norby would be enough, in my opinion.

Obviously a multicheck of all the existing parts will be a nightmare to even think about implementing...
