First happened to me last year and manged to avoid them up until last month when it happened again to me after I bought 2 games from a guy that had a few thousand trades under his belt.

You just need to be careful who you buy from, but even then you can not be 100% positive

All we can really do is try to educate people, besides you can get your items back from steam support

Here's the format you need to send in a ticket, be patient and avoid rambling scam stories in your ticket, its likely they guy you got the game from was unaware and if you ramble a big story in your ticket its less likely to get fixed right away

Copy and Paste then fill out everything between the lines, you can find any information you need in your inventory history, below is all you have to send them once you have filled in the <blanks>

What should I put for the category and what should I put as the title?

Today I steam I was notified that :

"Your recent gift received from "Vilkas999" has been revoked due to a problem processing payment for this item. The games associated with this gift can no longer be played as a result. If you would like to purchase this item, visit the Steam Store. Otherwise, you may choose to delete the local content associated with this gift."

who knows what he did wrong, since I, and several others today posted that he had scammed us on his profile page, all of which have since been deleted, Since earlier today however, I have noticed some suspicious trades including https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/profiles/76561198083019269

Punish, who has similarly been accused of scamming and selling games at not necessarily outrageously low prices, but just under what is normal (6 keys for Rust or 10 + keys for dayz) in order to get people to trade. This has severely weakened my trust in Tf2 outpost, to the extent where I can no longer trust trades that include items that can be revoked through steam, the problem wasn't that I didn't look at his rep, his inventory or how long he had been on steam, He was in good standing, had been on steam for a decent amount of time, inventory looked like what I would expect, and his rep appeared to be excellent. If I can no longer trust these things then how do I trust the person I'm trading with?
