Yea during sign up there should be a couple pages with check marks for "i read this" , short "rules" on each page so its not a wall of text but something you can't avoid reading.

There are a lot of users who just don't know how to read the trades, the arrow pointing from left to right isn't a big enough clue, and they just mass add people, and thats time consuming for everyone esp if they buy from one, and leave the rest of the adds to be sorted out by the other people once they are done. They are like people who drop a deus in a public toilet and just walk away, why flush? I'm done!

And yes way too many of these people don't read notes. Some add so many people they don't even know why they added you. Then they play a game where they think its worth other peoples time to guess why they added you ....

And of course there are the item offer people who add you and are cagey about their intentions, going straight to trade then demanding to see your items. Check their bp, and of course they don't have pure. Not sure why they always think that if the other person puts the item down first it makes them more likely to accept a junk offer. Should be a rule of ettiquette, be up front about your intentions.


Sometimes people even ask to buy things that are blanked out, already sold..its like..you can't see that the icons grey?

Festives are a problem if under a ref, its just a matter of those things being low value and having dropped for a month now, I'm sure many were originally 1 ref buys. But why do people pay 1 rec? Its because the value and demand are low now, and I guess the problem for outpost is that they don't let you post on the "what I have side" anything you don't have in your backpack, but for metal this should be loosened because its just to denote price. Most people keep refs to save space, and recs are just change, so to fill 8 slots with recs is not easy. And as I said, its a matter of those items dropping in demand drastically, and people keeping trades open and just editing the notes. While i'm sure its kind of annoying its nothing compared to real misleading trades..where things are not in stock or they can't pay or whatever.

Its not setup right, posting in your own trades should not be limited. When people get back home and have to answer a bunch of posts, it becomes rather annoying when you could finish up answering a bunch of posts in a minute or two, but it gets stretched out because the timer keeps blocking your posts..in your own trades. People try to do a lot of things at once to save time, and this just wastes it:P

Happens a lot, esp when traders have "store" trades and have things in the text that are out of stock but they for some reason don't bother to blank out the corresponding icon. If they had the @#% time to change the text to zero in stock, they had the time to click the icon.

But on the other hand, you might reconsider what you are doing:P .22 profit? you realize you are spending many minutes to earn 6 cents..... You'd need to have 300 transactions per hour to meet a 10 dollar minimum wage at that level of profit.

Main issue is that most marks aren't aware enough to screenshot their transactions, so yes there will time when unsufficient evidence exists to ban them.

Its not just trusting, many of the scams involve exploting the other persons greed, whether the scammer asks to "dupe" your item or give you an exceptionally good deal, these are all age old scams irl, as they say its hard to scam an honest man. course the rest are just people who don't check before they trade, steam wallet stuff, they dont even check if such a thing is possible...sometimes reading steamrep reports is just sad stuff, just based on the sheer amount of human stupidity involved.

you should post it because it contributes evidence for when he does scam someone, i'm sure its all taken into account by the moderators there, also send a copy of your report/link to the report violation that guys profile page.

This will be useful for the next guy, because eventually these guys scam someone, and its good for there to be a google search result on them.

i closed the chats a while back and removed them so can't check on it again, first time was a fluke, second time just weirded me out a bit. but since he paid i didn't feel like dealing with it at the time. Guess i'll echeck next time.

Why does spam count in the billions probably...because each attempt costs close to nothing. Sure a phisher can use old account but its a rather large cost to pay to burn or steal old accounts. At a certain point things stop being worth it.

Imagine if sending an email cost 5 cents. 5 cents is nothing to people, but you can bet it would stop most spam because it would become uneconomical to try.
