But who is loaded enough to justify that? High level unusual traders, who have unusuals which are so rare that they are always on page 1-2 of any search, meaning bump is actually pointless for these people, never mind the issue of having more trades. You don't need that many trades if you are just selling high level items.

So what does the pricing structure really go after, the mid/low tier people who have to post a lot of trades and have to deal with being one of a thousand being posted, not 1 of 5 or whatever. So in effect the current pricing structure goes after the wrong people, and asks too much of them. Its rather odd.

I don't get why they went with an all or nothing pricing system anyways, there used to be different levels of premium, which would make sense.

Entirely irrelevant to a business though. But on the other hand not knowing what you can reasonably charge is a problem.

Tf2 outpost does very little in terms of computing and services.

Compare what tf2outpost does to something you like youtube...that site serves ridiculous amounts of data a day, even gmail serves millions, google, map sites, most any site does way more in terms of delivering value than outpost does. Outpost solves a relatively simple problem, 16 icons from a repeated database for user, we're not talking millions of unique icons or anything, its just a small finite problem and so to ask 60 dollars a year for it, is just bizarrely disproportionate to what it delivers. If even gmail started charging 60 dollars a year people would abandon it.

Beyond that, the volume of trading one would have to do to even justify 60 dollars is a little ridiculous.

Yea its the weird demanding tone that annoys me. Its like they think they can con me better if I just put the item down.
I don't mind an honest offer, but its just weird when they get so sneaky about it.

I swear this happens almost 100% of the time I hear this line "show me X", and they will repeat it over and over in the trade window... so I just check their backpack, and they never have pure. Its just weird how consistently true this is.

Probably should be a sign up tip on tf2outpost, if you are going to make an item offer, just say that up front:P Its not that hard right?

Its a free market. People are free to offer, and you are free to say no. Backpack tf is not always right, and its always behind the market, its just a fact of how it works, it follows trends, and only a subset of visible trades based on the free "work' of suspect individuals who spend their time gathering "evidence" for free. Btw people with "grenade launchers" aren't new generally, while its been rereleased its price has also been tumbling by hundreds of %, so was tf right when it was 5 keys? is it wrong now at 1 key? Thats a 500% drop in no time at all, thats just how the market works. Grenade launcher desirability is low at this point, people know the price is tumbling, thus people are free to take such offers or leave them. Not everyone is going to spend an hour to save a dollar you know. It might be worth it for some kid, many tf2 players are older, and their time is worth more than that.
