But that is exactly my issue. Manually bumped trades are much more likely to be from active users than automatically bumped ones.

Don't interpret my/our silence as a lack of support. I agree 100% with everything you've said and you're more like 'the people's voice". I understand SOME people are not impulse buyers and think methodically as to their purchases but when you're struggling for that last scrap at 3am hoping to craft the perfect headgear it is kind of annoying to find someone, comment on their trade and find out that they're idling or went to bed with their computer logged in or went to prison or vacation.

I do not have to log onto the site to bump my trades. They will bump automatically while I am watching TV or Playing TF2 (where I am also at my computer and able to trade).

Autobumping just sucks. That the site owners offer features that are opposed to the site's primary function just to encourage donations is frustrating.

There are a couple of problems here. First, the site is not just for people who want to immediately buy or sell something and cannot wait for that person to come online. There are plenty of people who prefer to choose the best of several offers over time and thus bumping trades gives them more time to be offered on.

This doesn't mean that there couldn't be a 'filter by online' function in search- the problem is that it's just too expensive to check the online status of every user in the search, instead the cached icons shown have to be used, meaning that there's every chance users that are not online will be picked up, and users that are online will not be picked up, each generating their own set of complaints. That said, I still like the idea of being able to filter by online state.

Thanks, that makes a lot more sense when explained than just making wild accusations like I don't support Tf2OP or to "look at the bloody icons". I turn off my adaware and click an ad every visit which is multiple times a day.

That sounds counter intuitive to what you are complaining about. I though you didn't want to add people who are offline, so just look at the icon.

Not to mention that people can easily bump their posts without being on steam as well. Sounds like you just don't want to trade with people who support the site you are using.

Nope, it's that the majority are offline.....so I scroll and scroll and scroll to find one person online on the third page. And yes you can bump it yourself but not when you're sleeping or away for two weeks on vacation.

I only buy from Non-donaters since donaters usually have auto bump on and aren't online. It just wastes consumers time.
