[Rant] Quickbuyers & scrap.tf
Didn't know which section to post, anyway.

Hello, i have been trading for a few months now, ever since i had lost much refined to "quickbuyers"

They're literally all over the place now, however they have declined ingame and proceeded more on the web, one being scrap.tf. Why? Because you can easily tell that it buys your items under market value & sell it for profit. It never claimed to be non profit anyway, but honestly look at this.

It's pretty much the automated quickbuying service.
Now about Tf2outpost, it's been increasingly hard to sell high value items for Keys. I have a specialized killstreak scattergun worth 6-8 keys, iv'e offered dozens of people, nothing.

Because i would often see "Not counting your paints, parts killstreak bla bla bla" it's pretty much straight bullsh*t, to see how much i lost to them.

http://prntscr.com/7bwl4e - Item 1

Can't tell if hard quickbuyer or simple sharker, though he was very generous in the trading window ever since but i was quite new back then to trading. He blocked me after the trades. i lost ~127 refined after.

http://prntscr.com/7bwlne I lost more refined.

Then i'm left with no keys.

I like bazaar.tf's policy on no quickbuyers, but something really has to be done. It's crazy how hard for it is to sell my items.

It seems like 50%+ of trades posted on any trading website or server are trying to buy items for alot less than they are worth for resell purposes.

I do understand that one of the main goals of most tf2 traders are to progress.
Also I wouldn't go as far as to say they are ruining the trading network.

I just find it annoying that they are blatantly trying to buy stuff for ridiculously unfair prices for their own gain, i hate the way greed is taking over the trading community in mass now.
Scrap.tf - they used to be cool but now they're just a quick-buying, profiting machine however on the bright side they're sort of killing non-automated quickbuyers. I like that, sarcastically at least now I don't have to wait to sell my stuff for under it's value. The site never claimed to be non-profit anyway.

Some argue that scrap.tf helps stabilize the value of items; which is not true at all. Backpack.tf for now is responsible in mass reflecting market prices. It does state however scrap.tf It doesn't stabilize prices but it does reinforce them, but not in the you selling your items perspective, they pretty much took their automated service into the exact realm of quickbuyers.

Now, i wan't to talk about unusual quickselling and how far some people will go. Sometimes they will offer you ~50% less it's value for something worth far different. They'll try to make their backpack private, and that attach different parts/killstreak to confuse the seller into thinking they are payed well. I don't like quickbuys in websites because it makes it harder to search for actual buyers. Since the service doesn't take up any site, and is making the usual quickbuyer's life more difficult, I welcome it sometimes, the only problem being why bank items that are worth so much though?

Their take is to high for normal currency items.

Moving on, would want to talk about tf2outpost trades.

Some examples on unusual trades:

"ONLY Pure or 1st gens, some halloween effects unusual offer plz

NOT really interested 2,3 gens, EOTL, robo hat and effects..and duped, gifted

Pure>>>>Mix>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>unusual offer"

"17 keys
only pure"

"Send trade offer. Prices are firm, not counting paints, parts or killstreaks."

"not counting parts ,ks's etc"

It just proves the point on how rough people will go just for their own profit.

It's been increasingly hard to cope with the usual market prices & people would just sell them for what they feel like. Though trading is the usual logic where one person would say trade a hat for a lower value hat because they just like it, basic definition of trading.

Feel free to comment your opinion/response.
