The global message showing on all pages is a very much needed update. My bookmark is to /trades, and I assume I'm in the majority here.

I'm not even a big BTC trader. I literally only buy with BTC, so I completely understand your concern. There is always a risk I'll be the first and last person scammed by someone. I regularly buy around $100 worth of keys/buds from guys like BSoD, KGB Bunny, NeonHeights, Jester, and will occasionally get smaller amounts from other guys with smaller histories--but I'm the informed user you don't have to worry about. I know those guys aren't going to bone me.

I would also like to see "real-world money" replaced with "paypal, bitcoin, webmoney" buttons. It can be a real pain in the ass to scroll through 20 pages of RWM search results in hopes of finding more than two sellers looking for BTC.

Codes of any kind are likely to never be allowed. It's too easy to provide a bad code or to be scammed into giving a code to someone who has no intention of trading back. There is no way to prove a scam with a code, which is one of the big reasons they're not allowed. You can look up any Bitcoin transaction, which makes them very different than codes.

edit: Also, thank you, Pretender, for not ignoring this discussion. I think it would be good for someone to explain why BTC has been banned, even if none of us are likely to be happy with the explanation.

I am not fond of this development. Perhaps, as a workaround, we--the OP community--can adopt a de-facto listing for different things like Webmoney and Bitcoin? e.g. Bitcoin = "strange real money", webmoney = "genuine real money", etc. Obviously we would have to do this in a way that works within the admins' new system, but I don't see why we couldn't.

It is rather crap that this is the current situation, though.

Edit: I assume this is largely a development brought about by Paypal, so as long as Paypal doesn't *see* listings for bitcoins, everyone should be alright.

Should I be reporting the 40-100 posts I'll run across when searching for people selling keys for metal/money whose stock is at zero, their price is out-dated, and their thread is on autobump?
