That. Right there. As a person who has hosted a site or two I can tell you personally that Ads do not generate as much money as people would think. Especially with plugins like Ad Block.

The way I see it is thus: Sneeza can't continue to operate TF2OP on meager ad revenue, and dealing with virtual currency (Which causes a big tax/income headache to deal with). This is the only option that works for the majority of users, and helps keep TF2OP up and running (Maybe even running better). Yeah some of you lose your donater perks after a bit, but which is better, getting 3x what you paid for in the new service, or losing TF2OP as a place to do your trades? If TF2OP shut down, your donater status would mean jack.

Believe me when I say I understand a site costs more then people realize and that google ads do not pay out a lot. I also comepletly understand why Sneeza needed to convert to this model.

The issue I have is that regardless of what Sneeza says now the truth is that donators were given privledges permanently. It did not say indefinetly. It did not say anything about him retracting these privledges for any reason save being banned.

It is not a legal issue, money issue, or anything as heavy as that.

It is a moral issue. Allowing people to believe that donating would in fact result in getting perks for the duration that the site lasted then retracting it upon success so huge it HAS to go premium is my in opinion atleast misleading.

Throwing a meager time duration as a apology (because yes it is not him trying to be fair it is him apologizing without retracting what he wish's to do) is more of a slap in the face. I doubt Sneeza intended this but it is how it feels at least to me.

What is morally right in my opninion would be to continue donation privledges from those who have already contributed. This should be the thank you for helping get TF2outpost to this stage. Any further interest from new users who have not contributed should pay the new premium subscription.

They know what they are getting into far more then we did since it will be a far better defined agreement (I hope) then ours was.

Question about activity. Many of tf2outpost.com users are donor's and one of the benefits of doing that is auto bump. Once in awhile I encounter a trade that appears abandoned. It is being auto bumped but the trader has not responded to any offers for weeks.

I was uncertain if this was a report-able offense or if I should just deal with the fact that I am going to be encountering dead trades. Did not want to create a pointless report if it was not needed. Thanks for the answer in advance!

I do not see anything wrong with quickbuyers, If someone is desperate enough for keys to consider losing over half the value of an item to get them its their own business.

However, it is annoying when your looking for legit buyers of your promo/unusual item and all that comes up in the search is quicksells only. I think it would be nice that a new feature could be implemented that enables quicksell traders to mark their trade as such then require them to do so. That way we can refine our search to exclude/include them based on our intentions.

You can have two people with the exact same name on steam. Its interchangeable at anytime. Its the custom URL that cannot be identical.
