Well to answer your question in short, no these trades shouldn't be reported. There's no rule that says that you're supposed to fit in the exact amount you're paying in a trade simply because most of the time you can't. I can see how this can be tiresome but it's just as annoying as people who can't (or refuse to) read a trade's notes.

So if I have one Refined I can't ask for a Strange + change? Or if I change my mind and I don't want to pay 1 Ref anymore because the item fell in price I shouldn't be able to edit my note? I could also be buying several of the same item and I'm just listing the items available for me to pay with.

If you're too lazy to open each trade to check them there's an option that shows notes directly in search results.

There are hundreds of players getting scammed every day if everyone made a thread about it this place would be a massive spamfest. I'm sure you don't have any bad intention, you just want to warn others to be aware. Chances are we'll never come in contact with them though so this is kind of unnecessary. That's what steamrep.com is for and that's the number one site people should look at before trading with someone suspicious not this forum or any other smaller place.

Honestly I don't think this should ever be implemented. People are free to use plugins that achieve this for personal use but what people don't understand is that these are merely guides. Too many people follow them by the book and if they don't have the necessary trading experience it can be just as bad for them.

New item comes on the market and everyone overprices it. It sells because there are traders who don't really care would pay anything just to have them on day one. Backpack.tf would be updated to reflect that. A newbie would easily make the mistake of trading their more valuable items for something like that because it seems like a good deal. Anyone with a bit of experience would know that these items would fall in price a lot over the following days.

That's just one example, there are plenty of others why this would be bad. Not to mention it would conflict TF2OP's policy of not commenting on people's prices. The OP should be free to price their items however they feel it's fair without anyone slamming it down their throat.

As good as it sounds this is nothing more but a pro sharking tool, like Champelliot said. The only way it would be fair to everyone is if you only included people who have given you permission to list their hats.

Say I want my hats to be searchable by a potential buyer, I log in to the site and next time they appear in the search results. Otherwise no thank you I don't want random adds from idiots "HEY I WNT UR HATZ, I GIB 18 WEPONZ GUD DEAL".

Well first, I don't even have them in my window. And second, I think they act like the "Strange Part" item, they're used to regroup all the items that are almost the same (again, like strange parts).

I believe TF2Outpost fetches the list from the game's files so those items are there but aren't used ingame.

You do realize we don't actually type out the boxes? It does it automatically when we press quote, so actually, it's physically impossible for you to be more wrong.

It actually takes us more time to remove the boxes, than it does to leave them in.
