Moving to Chrome or a similar browser might not help him; I've been having similar problems preventing my inventory from loading in the create trade panel, and I'm using Google Chrome.

That issue is due to the Steam servers being under heavy load during the summer sale. It should work fine for everyone now.

I wouldn't bet on that. If you compare sites running under IE8 and a modern up to date browser, you'll notice that many things are displayed incorrectly/don't work as they should in IE. Just cuz you don't notice these flaws it doesn't mean those websites work "properly".

Supporting an obsolete browser is not a priority. There are far more important issues to deal with.

There are more than a dozen threads describing the same issue, you've got an official response from Sneeza, you can choose to believe it or not that's up to you. That won't change the fact that the Steam servers are under heavy load and they're not all that responsive.

The missing buttons might be attributed to the fact that you are using IE, yet another reason not to use that browser.

Remember that there is a delay of up to 30 mins for updating a user's online status. They may appear offline to you when in fact they're not, or vice versa.

The problem everyone is having was explained to you in the 2nd reply of this thread. While changing your browser will not fix them, it will fix many other issues others have been experiencing with the site.

Troll trades that are unrealistic are already against the rules and are reportable. Still you have to keep in mind that some items are unique, and if that weapon is the only lv69 weapon in TF2 then you cannot say the price is not fair. The owner is free to sell it for whatever they see fit.

Then this is not really an issue, it's just your personal opinion against everyone elses.

There are certain issues that only happen in IE and using a different browser solves them. Making a website fully work in IE is a headache and Sneeza would tell you the same thing, if you're using Internet Explorer change your browser. This is more than a friendly advice.
