I think it would make sense to draw the line where it becomes difficult not to see offensive content, if someone spams it, or forces it on another user it's harassment: it's only common sense to say that's against the rules. If it becomes a 'big thing', which I highly doubt, then yes I think measures should be taken to remove such content. Do I personally think it's okay for people to make TF2 items themed around sensitive issues? Yes, though they don't interest me personally. It seems you agree with me on this point.

Well, let's look at that from a different but connected angle-- are they hurting anyone by making profit off it? Perhaps you could say that the passers-by may be hurt by the act of reading the text, but I think in a world like ours we have much larger and far more important problems to solve than insensitive text on the internet.

I suppose we could consider the argument from desensitisation, which is indeed something to consider. I think perhaps it would be very silly to suggest that depictions of the names of virtual items on the internet would be contributing any real amount to the problem of hate and terrorism in our world.

I think in conclusion that fussing over such small things is a placebo, a distraction to make us feel as though we're actually doing something about such issues when we're not.

I'm completely open to what you have to say, though.

Though I have no say in this, should TF2Outpost really be trying to censor description/name tags because they might cause offence?
