Alright. Well, I guess nobody else cares, since it is assumed that this does not happen often. With that being said: After a trade is accepted, especially if it is a fair and legit trade as described (Quicksells), DON'T EVER ASK FOR MORE PAYMENT AFTER IT IS DONE. That's just downright inappropriate, and greedy.

You can also look at your own backpack to check item history on backpack.tf, but by then you've already traded/purchased it which would be too late. However, for whatever reason you decide you don't want the duped item after finding out that in fact it is duped, you can attempt to sell it.

I'm looking for public opinion on this because apparently, someone traded me a "quicksell" unusual. Then, after the trade was done, he/she added me as a friend. Shortly after that, the person asked me for MORE keys than what was advertised in his/her post, claiming that he/she "misread the value" of unusual that was traded. Here are a few questions I asked myself in this situation:

Is the trader being disrespectful by asking for more than what was advertised in the trade post?

Is the trader being greedy, knowing as a fact that the trader deals with a large amount of quickselling?

Is the trader being rude by adding me as a friend, only to ask me for more keys?

Even though he/she is reputable based on trading history, would asking for more be considered wrong or potentially a scam?

I don't know exactly, and it was a weird situation for me to be in since I haven't done much trading along the lines of "quicksells." After taking screenshots of the completed trade as evidence and proceeding to block the trader in question, I really hope he/she doesn't try to ruin my reputation as a buyer.
