This is the kind of behaviour you encourage if these reports go unheard. Even after specifically asking him to hide, he keeps going.

What this guy is doing is spamming you with bullshit, you can report hin because he posted 4 times.
Im trying to make people stop reporting stupid things like "ur stopid" Cause you can simply hide it.
What he is doing is just trying to troll or being an arse, and I will ban him for that.

If you would slap a 1 week ban on users like that (like reddit does), they would quickly learn not to insult other users or their trades.

As to the prices on that trade, I bought many many stranges at these prices already, the commenter is just some Outpost newbie that religiously follows spreadsheet.

Do you feel the urge to stab yourself just by looking at it?

Just hide it and move on, if people start to dig trough your closed posts then they will just think he looks stupid.

Or if you have stupid prices they already made up their mind about your prices before looking at the comments.

I like the debate that is going on here, but you are all kind of missing my point.

Im saying that if you are so butthurt about your prices that you need to report every single guy that trying to have a debate about your prices, then you have to reopen the trade cause "lol he defiled my trade with his bs" then i'm simply going to ban you.
The report system is already getting flooded, and I mainly made this thread for information to those who are so bloody ignorant and think that the only way to hide a comment is by a moderator having to remove it.

I agree that politely pointing out a wrong price to an inexperienced user seems like a gray area. But the ratio of "fuck you highballer" / "LOL" / "Scammer" / "Rip off" to "Dear sir, would you please..." must be like 100:1, but maybe I am wrong about that, I don't see the moderator's view :)

I can admit that some people just go out and say "ha nice joke, nobody will buy that"

But I saw some people reporting stuff like "Hey you might want to reconsider your prices, as the marked standar bla bla bla"
Which in my opinion is downright retarded, of course there are grey areas where people get loads of attention and they get tired of people who keep asking for a lower price even tho you just rejected the guy above who offered the same.
I mainly made this thread so i could Private message users who reports for really stupid things.

I've been tracking him for a while, he's added me several times over a couple different accounts, and everytime he does a freak out, he's so bad even his google cache had a -rep on his profile, just look at that trade, he angers so many people a day they all remember and screenshot his bad behavior, yet he seems to get a slide. I did post post the info i had on him on outpost mod jons profile,... .. people can't report him at this point because he doesn't have an open trade.

We can't enforce rules outside the site, if he chooses to be an ass on steamchat then so be it, but we are not steam, and we are not banning for people being rude outside the site.
