I've got something that I don't think has been said or asked about before:
We all know the information about the current page in your browser's top-window bar, right? For this thread it says "New Layout Discussion : TF2 Outpost - Mozilla Firefox" for me.
Every site has this, at the very top of your browser, lefthand corner, next to the browser logo. This might not exist for browsers like Chrome, I don't know because I don't use anything else.

Either way, before this layout update, going to someone's outpost profile would show:
> TF2 Outpost / thisisthepersonsname
But now, it shows:
> TF2 Outpost / User

This might seem insignificant, but look at it this way, if you view someone's outpost profile, it'll be in your browser history. Now say you want to view that person's profile again, it's impossible to find it in your browser history. Because EVERY outpost profile says "TF2 Outpost / User", instead of the name of the user whose profile you viewed. The only way to do it now, is to remember which user-ID fits to which person (mine is 25192 for instance: http://www.tf2outpost.com/user/25192 ). Well I don't know about all of you, but I view at least 100 users in a week, so it's impossible for me to memorise such things. And even if I could it would be ridiculous to do so.

This, again, was better before this layout update. Which is easier to remember (assuming random names and IDs)?
1) "Oh, I gotta remember to check user Flooby, Max Martin, and xxCallmeSt3v3xx tomorrow"
2) "Oh, I gotta remember to check user 516795, 25467, and 100587 tomorrow"
I'm assuming the first option is chosen, which is why I'd like to see the old style back, browsers showing names instead of just "User", when viewing someone's profile.

Tl;dr: replace the "User" part in page-info, to the name of that user.

Notice how it doesn't show the 999 kills I have on it, nor the prefix "Totally Ordinary" it should have because of that amount. And also the massive gaps between data. I mean come on, do we really need a full centimeter (~0.4 inch) of space between different IDs, and previous owners? tl;dr: For item history, reduce space between IDs + other data, and (re-)add more detail like custom names/descriptions, kill-count for stranges, etc etc.

OR just implement the old item history system again, it was perfect, and the current one is, despite updates along the way, still just awful.

It is faster for me if i have a list i can look through without having to open another page ect... Normally i do alot of trading, I have had 11 traders trying to trade with me at the same time and it gets confusing having that many windows open and would be more convieniant to have a list that i can hold in my hand to look through for a fast reference.

To me it would seem more convenient to have one page open with your bp, and you type in the name of the item offered. Shows up, don't need to buy it; doesn't show up, buy it.
But I don't think many people would find a text-written bp useful, so they probably won't put it in for you to use :(

Item history was always there..

Not the way it's in right now. Ever since the new layout the item history was ridiculously primitive. And now it's been greatly improved again! It's very similar to the original.

Only thing that's still missing: custom names/descriptions, and gift-tags on items. That sort of detail is the only thing missing I think.

But if you think about it, when we are at work we do things the most efficiant we can correct? When work involves taking inventory there are no pictures on the list. If you tried to print out a list of your items it would take a dozen pages or so if your BP had as many as mine does. A text version would be much smaller and convient to print out quickly. I will know what they are esspecially if it is printed in the order your BP is in. For me and a few friends of mine It would be a benificial addition.

Hello, that is what i was talking about. A way to search your backpack for specific items, like in the old layout. (The layout that just was replaced)

A backpack purely in text form wouldn't show images of the items, or have regular slots for that matter. What I mean with a search box, is being able to type in information about an item, but still see the item itself turn up in the search results :)
