Anything that involves the use of a one-time code (game key/redeem code) is not allowed to be traded. There is too much space for a scam there unlike something like a paypal or bitcoin, which has information for transactions that can be defined and displayed much more clearly.

Would never work as intended. Just look at youtube for an example, people would start stuffing their trades with common buzzwords to get as many search hits as possible.

If your son uses the same wireless connection as you, why would he need to make an offer on your trade when he could easily do it in person? That type of situation doesn't make sense and seems more of a lame excuse for posting a fake offer on your own trade.

Also you're not banned. Is the issue here because you have a closed trade that states that you were banned once? Because that is so minor that you shouldn't even care. People get bans for minor things all the time and have the same thing happen to their trades, nobody cares.

It was his fault for entering in a trade he may have regretted later. You did nothing wrong and did not even have to give back his paint.

There is no set price for items and technically everything is worthless since they're pixels in a game. You will not be punished for sharking or any thing of the like because you got a decent deal of 2-3 extra keys on an item.

You did not wait out 2 days then, you waited 1 day and 21 hours. Also, alternative accounts are prohibited as well, so that's two infractions in one.

Because people who scam others or attempt to bypass punishment are not welcome here and will not be tolerated.

Nobody will be permanently banned for their first infraction if it's something minor like spamming someone's trade or being overly offensive to someone. It's only when they do it multiple times that they get banned for good.

However, things like scamming, evading bans by using alt accounts and other serious offenses will receive a permanent ban on the first offense, and will not be reversed.

Well welcome to the forums, it's nice for you to inquire about what kind of people and practices happen within the trade community.

As for what the community is like, that's a mixed bag and really cannot be defined by a topic on a forum. different traders can vary heavily depending on why they trade (cosmetic or profit) and what they trade (low end or high end) and you'll rarely see one trend encompass everyone.

If you want to know more about the staff, then I'm sure they'd encourage you to watch their weekly streams they have, which include raffles for unusuals and other nice items.

For the rest of the community, my advice would be to find your niche and what you want out of trading and look at similar people with those items in mind.

As for price commenting, it isn't against the rules so much that you'll be banned, but many people in the community (myself included) find it one of the rudest things to do when the trade could just be simply avoided. Many spam battles happen because of them and I find it's better to just not take the chance for drama to occur.
